The deadline for submission of manifestoes for 1st and 2nd years has now passed, and voting has opened.  Voting for reps open to cutting edge members only.  Voting closes 2/12/11 at 6pm. (any vote made by non members will not count!)

Directions

To St James’ by bus;

From LGI Jubilee wing; Take the free city bus to the bus station.

From the Bus station: Exit the bus station via the door nearest stand 1.Once outside, Turn Right and go to stand F4

From stand F4; get the No. 4 bus towards Whinmoor (Purple bendy bus) There’s one every 12-15 minutes. It should take 5minutes to get to ST James’ from this stand.

Once on the bus, there are screens which tell you what the next stop is. Get off at the Bexley wing stop.

The bus will stop straight outside the Bexley Wing building. Once inside the building go up the stairs to level 0.


(The number 50 and 50A also go to St James’ and leaves from Woodhouse(Park Lane), Headrow and across the road from the bus station near the West Yorkshire Play House)

Surgical Fair: An Insight Into Surgery

Leeds Surgical Society is proud to present an "Insight into Surgery", we would like to
extend an invitation to all of you to attend our surgical fair.  This will be the first
ever student-led event held at the world renowned St Jame's Hospital.

The main of the fair is to enable both students and doctors the opportunity to explore
various surgical specialties, this fair will also provide the opportunity to network with
a broad range of surgical professionals from different specialties.  We will have stalls
which will cater both medical students  and doctors, for example:

Research Opportunities stall - This stall will be available to those of you who are
interested in undertaking research opportunities in Yorkshire and Humber area
OSCE stall
Application stall - For FY1 & FY2 Candidates
There is also an opportunity for 15 students to present their research in the form of
poster presentations at the conference! The deadline for poster presentations is on 1st
FEB, please email your abstracts to cuttingedgeleeds@hotmaill.com, it must be related to
surgery.

There will also be opportunities for those of you who would like to get involved in
clinical audits, scientific projects and research projects.

It's a unique opportunity which will be subsided by Leeds Surgical Society, as places are
limited to 150 delegates we would require a small deposit of £5.00 which will be
returned upon attendance.
