Current is a welcoming and inclusive spiritual community where we intentionally explore our personal faith and seek to express the love of God to the world in which we live.


Contemporary Worship Service
Current's contemporary worship service begins at 5:30 pm every Sunday evening, and is preceded at 5:15 by a drum circle/jam session.  Our service features awesome contemporary music, a contemplative prayer circle, and an inspiring message or thought-provoking discussion.  Free childcare is available every week, and a free meal and fellowship follow the service.  Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome at Current

Who We Are
Current is a progressive Christian ministry of First Baptist Church of Boulder.  Our worship services and events are open to all!  Every Sunday evening, we take time together to celebrate our experience of God through song, open our hearts to the Spirit and one another through meditation and prayer, and work to better understand and apply the message of Jesus Christ in our lives.  We also sponsor Boulder's monthly Spiritual Open Mic Night, a monthly Bring Your Own Brain topical chat at a local coffeehouse, and periodic Movie Nights, concerts, retreats and hikes.  We'd love to have you join us!

Spiritual Open Mic Night & Coffee Hour

On the third Wednesday evening of
every month, the church narthex is converted into a cozy coffeehouse as we host Boulder's Spiritual Open Mic Night featuring musical performances, dance, art and readings from all religious and spiritual traditions.  There's no cover charge, and yummy snacks, tea and coffee are served.  Join us to perform or just to enjoy others' performances!  Free childcare is available.  An open jam session and drum circle start the evening at 6:30, and the Open Mic begins at 7 pm.

Movie Night
Every month or so on a Friday night, the Fellowship Hall is transformed into a movie theater where we enjoy popcorn, drinks, snacks, each other's company and, yes, a film!  We're currently watching the Star Trek movies.
