Thanks for the entries, the winner is declared!  We had a huge number of fantastic entries for our Create a Cupcake competition. The standard of entries was exceptional, and we are pleased to announce our winner out of the top five: Vicky Pett's Violent Violets! The judges liked her creative use of flowers, sweets colours, flavours and theme to come up with a fun purple cupcake which can be created on a commercial scale. VIolent Violets will be on sale at Bagel of the North from 18th September, please look out for it and come and try! Vicky will also be presented with a special party prize pack of her winning entry. The competition was officially launched by BBC Newcastle presenter Jonathan Miles, who entered a BBC-themed cake, with a helping hand from Look North's Lara Rostron.   A cupcake is made of sponge and frosting, so tell us what ingredients you'd add to these. Ingredients can be both blended into the sponge and frosting or added whole, and the frosting can de decorated with edible treats. Let your imagination run riot with colour, texture and flavour. Competition entry forms are available in store from 1st August, and you can also print off the form and send it to us at our address, shown in the leftside bar. So have a look at our menu for an inspirational starting point, or maybe take your cue from a favourite film star or musician and work the title or name into your creation! Good luck.
