Clemson University One Cloud is an experimental Cloud infrastructure based on Opennebula. It is a Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) system that enables users to provision virtual machine instances. The underlying hypervisor is KVM. Currently (December 2011) only three hypervisors are available, however seamless connection to clemson's 12,000 cores cluster is underway. KVM is deployed on the cluster and we expect onecloud to connect to it in the first quarter of 2012. The EC2 frontend presents part of the EC2 query API, EC2 clients like the euca tools and boto python module can be used to manage instances. This project is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) EIE-4CI #0753335, Extenci # projects and BMW. |
