To provide mutual financial ,material and moral support to members and their households for improved income levels and improved quality of life through education ,good health ,food security ,appropriate shelter and peaceful co-existence in a sustainably managed natural resource environment

Critical issues for improved Livelihoods of Orphans, Vulnerable, Children and Widows:


· Livelihoods, welfare ,security and protection

· Education support children without biological parents

·Poverty levels among adolescent OVCs and widows compounded by HIV/AIDS

·HIV/AIDS scourge compounded with high poverty levels aggravated by the  post election violence in Kenya

· Weakened traditional extended family support systems leaving several OVCs and widows without access to basic needs including food and water

·Stigmatization, stress, trauma occasioned by pain of loss of parental love, care, protection and spousal  support.

Major Program activities of Kogelo ng'wono Women Groups

·Cultural Eco-Tourism within the Obama Kogelo Cultural Centre and the surroundings;

·Farming   and Livestock Development Activities for food security, access to clean water and income generation;

·Orphans Vulnerable Children (OVCs) and Widows Support through Education, Health ,Food Security and Shelter ;

·Natural Resources Management and Environmental Conservation including the development of Herbal Garden; Aloe Vera and Bee Keeping.
