The District generally organizes one or two recruitment nights for the town's cub scout packs in September of each year. These are most often held at a town school or at Roudenbush. All packs are generally represented since these events are an excellent oppotunity to attract new scouts.

Recruitment night usually involves:

• Several leaders available to answer questions and to fill out enrollment paperwork
• Uniformed scouts (especially younger scouts) to attract kids to Pack 95's table
• A laptop running a slideshow illustrating the fun to be had in Pack 95
• An example cubmobile for kids to see and play with
• Examples of scout projects (pinewood derby cars, marshmallow muskets, etc.)
