Booth Sale InformationBooth sales will go on, rain or shine. Selling popcorn at the booth sale: 1. A parent must stay with the scouts, but please let the scouts do as much as they can on their own. An adult may have to help them remember the prices, and should double-check the payment/change, but the scouts should ask people if they would like to help the cub scouts and tell them about the products. 2. The scouts should be dressed neatly in their uniform. 3. We are very thankful for the stores that allow us to hold booth sales, so please always be polite and keep the area neat. Say thank you, whether people buy something or not. Approach people on the way in or on the way out, but not both. 4. Sign in and out, so that the scout can get credit for participating. Totals from the sales, and the amount credited to each scout will be posted on the signup sheet by the Monday following the sale. Setting up the sale: The people signed up to sell in the first hour may be asked to "set up" the sale. That means getting supplies (popcorn, cash box, table) from Kate prior to the sale. When you arrive at the store, go inside and let the manager know that you are there. Ask him or her where they would like you to set up. Make a neat display of the popcorn. Closing down the sale: At the end of the last shift, you may have to close down the sale. That means packing up leftover popcorn, bringing the supplies (and especially the money) back to Kate's house. Before you leave, it would be nice to let the manager know that you are leaving.
