Congratulations to Caleb Hontz for building the fastest car in the pack. He averaged 3.4897 seconds after three races. Caleb, along with Christopher Brown (2nd place) and Henry Carranza (3rd place) are eligible to compete in the District race in March. It will be held at Prince of Peace.
This years race was amazingly close. The difference in time from the first place winner to the last was only 0.8789 seconds! Another exciting moment came when it was discovered that for the first time ever, there was a tie! After three races, Quinton Mindrup and Ethan Rios had the exact same average race time of 3.5667 seconds.
Everyone did an excellent job with painting and decorating their cars. There were some amazing looking cars this year; including a shark car, built by Griffin Karr and a bathtub car (which included a rubber ducky!), built by Nathan Helgeson.
