No Meeting May 11 for Wolves

posted ‎‎May 11, 2009 5:26 AM‎‎ by Larry Mock

Hello Wolves,
There will not be a meeting for the Wolves this Monday. Mr. Fissel has been called out of town, and I will be assisting the Bear Scouts on completion of their Handbook. Congratulations to our Wolf Scouts for accomplishing all of the the Achievements in our Handbook, along with numerous other activities throughout the year. The campout in Seguin is this coming weekend (May 16-17), and our last Pack meeting on the 18th. Be sure to contact Heather if your Scout has made any additional accomplishments, and earned a beltloop/badge/pin etc..., so they can receive their acknowledgement at the Pack meeting. Hope to see everyone there.

Bowling Den Meeting 6 pm March 11!!!!!!!!!!!

posted ‎‎Mar 4, 2009 4:00 PM‎‎ by Larry Mock

Hello wolves, I enjoyed seeing everyone at the last Den meeting.

Mark and I thought it would be fun to conduct our next Den meeting (March 9) at the bowling alley.

Since there are leagues on Monday and Tuesday, we would meet at 6 PM on Wednesday (March 11) at Sunset Lanes in San Marcos. Bowling will be $4 for 1 game w/shoes, $7 for 2 games w/shoes. Your scout can earn a bowling beltloop and accomplish Elective 20 g in the Wolf Handbook. Pizza will be provided (Mr. Fissel's generosity, but hopefully will take donations), but drinks must be purchased at the snack bar (they usually don't allow food to be brought in). They do have leagues starting at 7:30 PM, so we'll need to be out by then. Hope to have a large turn out, and have a great time at the Bowling Alley (Reminder: next Wednesday, March 11, 6 PM, or when you can make it.)         Take Care,

Mighty Wolf Parents.  I’m pretty sure these are all of the Den meetings we’ve had.  Go through your sons Wolf book and make sure this has been logged on the page of the Achievement/Elective and in the back of the book pages 233-236…provided you attended the den meeting or if you accomplished it at home.  Just like last time, I’m going to sit with the parents to make sure the items are logged in our folder.

Thanks to you all for helping with the den meetings.  It’s awesome to see parents showing such enthusiasm and making your child succeed as a scout.  Mr. Seaton and I are very greatful.

 See you tonight,

What an awesome first den meeting we had.  I can already tell this is going to be a very rewarding year for the wolves. For the new parents, I would like to have their Bobcat requirements accomplished before the Oct. Pack meeting.  It's the Bobcat Trail: Pg 16-25.  I will go over them again for the next den meeting 22 Sep.  When you feel your scout is ready, please let me know and I will sit with him and ask the 1-7 requirements.  The #8 requirement is a section in the front of your Wolf book called How to Protect Your Child from Child Abuse that you and your son have to do together.
