Our monthly outing is coming up this Saturday, March 7th.
The location is in central Austin, about 45 - 60 minutes drive from San Marcos.
The hike will be along the Austin hike and bike trail, one of the finest urban parks in the country.

Cub Scouts - Pack 18 Spring Day-Hike at Lady Bird Lake Trail Austin, TX What: Hike the Trail at Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. The visit will start at the Austin Nature and Science Center (Zilker Park, parking beneath Loop 1 MOPAC Bridge) where Scouts can see wild animals, explore the grounds, visit with a Naturalist, and experience first-hand a dinosaur dig. We will then conduct a 4 mile round trip hike along the lake to Butler Park where Scouts can play on a large open lawn, eat lunch, and cool off in the fountain plaza. (A spare set of dry clothes is recommended). A return hike to the Nature and Science Center will conclude the day. When: Saturday, March 7th Schedule: Depart FUMC in San Marcos at 9:00am Arrive Austin Nature and Science Center at approximately 10:00am Depart on Hike at 11:00am (approximately one hour to destination) Play at Butler Park approximately one hour Return Hike to parking lot at 1:00pm Arrive at parking lot at approximately 2:00 for departure |
