End of Year Schedule

posted May 11, 2009 5:24 AM by Larry Mock

Hello Parents, as we come to the end of our scouting year, things are a little unusual due to our campout being rescheduled due to bad weather in April, and due to the Methodist Church being closed for flu concerns. Let me outline what we have remaining:

1-Monday May 11 some dens are not meeting, and some dens are meeting at a different location than normal. If you have questions about where to be on Monday the 11th, please call your den leader.

2-The overnight campout at Seguin is NEXT weekend (May 16-17). Expect a more detailed email about that in the next few days.

3-Our last meeting of the year is a Pack meeting on Monday night May 18. This is the last chance your son will have to receive the badge for his rank publicly.

This means there are only 1 or 2 more meeting times when your son can work on his rank requirements. There may be other things you need to finish up as a family, that are not done at a den meeting. Again, please call your den leader if you have a question about what is lacking.

Have a great weekend and see you soon.

Den Meetings cancelled May 4 and 11

posted May 1, 2009 6:29 PM by David Murdoch

The Methodist Church has asked that all youth groups including scouts not meet on site for 2 weeks.  This is a precaution to prevent the spread of flu. Our next event will be the Seguin campout on May 16.

Thanks.

Scout Sunday

&

Blue and Gold Banquet

Next Sunday

February 22nd -10:30 am

Please plan on attending First United Methodist Church with your family for Scout Sunday. Church starts at
10:45 pm but we would like the Scouts there about 10:30 am to be seated as a group. Please be in your Scout
Inspection ready uniform (Class A). If you cannot attend, please make plans to attend your own Church in
uniform.

Immediately after Scout Sunday, we will have our Blue and Gold Banquet. This is a birthday celebration of
Cub Scouting and includes a sit down meal and a special program. This year the Blue and Gold banquet is
combined with our February Pack meeting and will be held the same day as Scout Sunday (February 22). This
will be a special occasion, especially for our Webelos II's, who will participate in the Arrow of Light ceremony.
