(Module III Practicum presentation slides) As a part of the leadership team at your school/district it is essential to guide your community with understanding for how technology can best support teaching and learning.
Today will begin your Module 3 Practicum in which you will create an 'action plan' to initiate and implement technology at your school in support of this effort. You will be guided by two (2) documents: your district's state approved technology plan and the National Education Technology Standards (NETS) for Teachers. Step 1: Find your district's state approved technology plan. A plan is organized by the following sections: 1. Plan Duration, 2. Stakeholders, 3. Curriculum, 4. Professional Development, 5. Infrastructure, Hardware, Tech Support, & Software, 6. Funding & Budget, 7. Monitoring & Evaluation, 8. Effective Collaborative Strategies, and 9. Effective, Research-Based Methods. Step 2: Review the Curriculum and Professional Development sections of your plan. Step 3: Refer to the NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) for Teachers. (Draft of Administrator Standards) Step 4: Using the AB430 Action Plan worksheet, identify the standard and goal within your tech plan to begin your action plan draft.
