AB 430 Overview & Goal

AB430 Program Overview
Module 1: Leadership & Support of Student Instructional Programs
Module 2: Leadership & Management for Instructional Improvement
Module 3: Instructional Technology to Improve Pupil Performance

AB430 Program Goal
The goal is to develop principals who come from a variety of contexts and challenging environments, who are able to:
  • Establish sound and clear instructional goals
  • Collaboratively develop data-driven instructional strategies
  • Lead a school through powerful instructional change

Module 3: Instructional Technology to Improve Pupil Performance


  • Content
    • Session 1: 21st Century Skills and Using Data to Inform Goals & Instruction
    • Session 2: Cybersafety & Educational Web Resources
    • Session 3: Technology Leadership & Web 2.0 Tools
  • Purpose
    • Utilize technology, fiscal, and human resources for student academic success;
    • Manage data and assessment to guide teacher decisions regarding student interventions and school site instructional practices;
    • Establish and communicate state and district visions and goals for student-focused instructional improvement;
    • Create awareness and familiarity with state and national standards for all instructional team members and core subjects.

    • Session 1: January 22
    • Session 2: February 12
    • Session 3: April 23
  • 40 Required Hours
    • Year 1: Institute (20 required hours)
    • Year 2: Follow-Up Practicum (20 required hours)
    • Deliverable: “My Plan”
