It's amazing ... I looked back at the May 28, 2011 report and found out that I can just copy and paste the same report, change the line-ups and contests winners and send it out. So here we go, even the number of players is the same :-)
"All 19 CSWGA members enjoyed warm, no rain and occasionaly sunny weather at the Westview facility. As usual the tournament kicked off with a warm-up practice on the driving range with complimentary range balls provided by the Westview Events director Mike Nisbet (mike@westviewgolf.ca).
The afternoon concluded with a refreshment on the 19th followed by an awards ceremony for winners of the closest to the pin (unisex) contests. Awards were also given to the top 2 players with the lowest score calculated based on Callaway handicap method."
Here is a few trivia questions for all of you to see how well you know your playing peers and how well we were playing at the Westview: 1. What is the average gross score of all players? A hint: 6 strokes more than at the St. Andrews Valley last October. 2. What is the most difficult hole based on the highest difference from the par? 3. What is the average number of strokes over par from all 18 holes? 4. Looking at the average number of strokes per hole statistics, ladies posted better score than gents on 4 out of first 7 holes. Did it happen on front 9 (Middle) or back 9 (Lakeland)?

Hi golfers,
A short report on last turnament of this year. First,........ I must thank all the players who were able to participate . I was pleasantly surprised, what great condition was the golf course . Greens were quick and the fairways nice and soft. ( car paths only, rule of the day ) All 12 of us, including 2 guests were fighting the course in the rather strong winds and somehow cold, for non walkers. Slope and rating from whites, I believe , is more difficult than Wooden Sticks,. Check the scores bellow, not too many were bellow 100 strokes. Price was right, people were nice, and rain held up . ( only on the last few holes we had some rain drops,) After the game, we had few driks, while Robo calculated the damages done on the score cards. Than we had given out prizes etc. and decided on the date and the place for the annual dinner. Robo already has sent out an announcment on the date and time in Restaurant Praha. We will see you all there.
5 most difficult holes # 2 - par 5 ... avg score: 8.3 # 5 - par 4 ... avg score: 7.0 # 18 - par 4 ... avg score: 6.4 # 8 - par 4 ... avg score: 6.3 # 3 - par 4 ... avg score: 5.1 & # 16 - par 5 ... avg score: 7.1
Line-ups 1. 10:40am - Charly A., Joe M., Robo L., Sy (Guest) 2. 10:50am - Daniel S., Riso S., John F., Karl (Guest) 3. 11:00am - Vera K., Jan K., Karel V., Pavel F.
Contests (6 x GolfTown $25 gift certificates) Non-Gender Closest to the Pin - Hole 4: Karel V. - Hole 11: Robo L. - Hole 15: John F. - Hole 17: John F. Callaway Net Score 1. Karel V. (72) 2. Daniel S. (74)

The 2011 CSWGA Open Championship took place on a sunny September Sunday at beautiful Wooden Sticks GC in Uxbridge. The Wooden Sticks is more than simply a place to golf. A beautiful scenery surrounding almost every hole, top-notch practice and club facility gave our event a special touch.
The day began with players registration followed by a buffet style lunch, a warm-up under the supervisory of CPGA golf instructor, a former LPGA pro-player, Karin Mundinger and a long awaiting tee-off of the first group. Believe it or not, the tee times were delayed by 30 min due to a morning frost! The first half of the tournament was played in a nice and warm weather, at least most of the front 9 holes. The back 9 turned out to be a chilly afternoon for some of the finishing groups.
The most awaiting event concluded with an awards ceremony. The trophies were given to CSWGA members with the lowest gross totals in Ladies and Gentlemen categories. The 2011 CSWGA Open Champions are:
Hanka Lejcar and Robo Lasak
Congratulations!
Some interesting facts ... what would you think was the average score of all playing members at Wooden Sticks? Was hole # 17 inspired by TPC Sawgrass the worst nightmare for us? Which 5 holes were the most difficult? Let's find out ...

This was a second attempt to complete the 4th tournament of the 2011 after getting rained out the week before. This time the weather held fine, except for pretty gusty conditions caused by the remnants of hurricane Irene. To me the most amazing thing was that everybody who confirmed their participation showed up! That makes organizer's job a lot easier and I want to thank you all for that.
The competition was fierce!
Tournament Stats Ladies: red tees - Par 72 (5,509 yards, Rating/Slope 70.5/121) Gents: white tees - Par 72 (6,081 yards, Rating/Slope 68.4/123)
Golf fee Walkers/Riders: $66 (walking, tax in)
Line-ups 1. 2:08 pm - Robo, Riso, Karel M., Miro 2. 2:16 pm - Vera, Jan, Jitka H. (guest), Palo R. (guest) 3. 2:24 pm - Jana, Nathalie, Hana 4. 2:32 pm - Rasto, Karel V., Pavel
Prizes Closest to the Pin: Holes 3 & 5: the very pregnant Nathalie! Way to go Mom! Hole 11: Robo Hole 16: Miro
Callaway Net Score 1. Robo: 74 (better gross score) 2. Pavel 74
Unofficial prize for The Most Honest Golfer (yaiks!) - Karel
The pictures did not come out that great either:
Looking forward seeing you all at the Slovak House (Best Ball) competition on Sep. 11.

The 4th CSWGA tournament was rained out after 30 min of play. The players decided to pick up a 18-hole rain check and postpone the tournament to Aug 28. The new tee times were already reserved starting 2:08pm. Karel V. is going to send out a new communication to all members. Hopefully, more members will show on the following Sunday up at this great golfing facility.
Rain and lightning
So, what do we do?
But the story does not end here. After some deliberation (with beer) and after most participants left, and by now the weather started clearing up, the remaining "golf nuts" decided to play at least nine holes. We got a few sprinkles, but that was it:
Met some fans too. Were they trying to send us a message?

CSWGA III. Tournament Report
The third CSWGA tournament of 2011 season was held on July 23, 2011 at Deerfield GC in Oakville.
It was our second tournament on this golf course. Two years ago we did not finish the game, because of the downpour, and this year we played in the tropical heat (36C). All 20 players showed a competitive spirit and finished in style. After the game we went to Maruska & Daniel’s place, enjoyed food, drinks and socialized till late hours (see attached pics). Even though Mike Baloun and Vasek Taborsky could not play, it was wonderful that they could join us after the game.
Some game info: Milos Mitro was the only player who did not have any triple bogy. Hana Lejcarova had the most pars from ladies (75%) and the most pars we managed to get on hole No 6 (par4) where 5 players shined.
We would like to welcome a new member Jaromir Bartlik who started in style by winning closest to the pin on hole #13. Congratulation!
Happy Birthday to Karel Vetrovky who just turned 60.
Tournament Stats Ladies: red tees - Par 72 (5,293 yards, Rating/Slope 70/118) Gents: white tees - Par 71 (6,068 yards, Rating/Slope 68/123)

The second CSWGA tournament of 2011 season was held on June 26, 2011 at Maples of Ballantrae.
"See you all there, the sun always shines on the golf course! It will be a fun filled day on a beautifull course. Scores will be the BEST EVER!" ... great words from Jana. Unfortunately, Jana tripped, injured her ankle and was not able to join us. Thanks Jana for organizing the event! Get well and see you back soon.
We started teeing off in a bit "cold" and overcast weather but when the weather started to turn we all enjoyed very pleasant and almost ideal playing conditions.
It has become a tradition to welcome new members in each of the recent tournaments. This one has been no exception. Please welcome Miro, our new addition!
Tournament Stats
