It's both an honour and a privilege to have been elected as President of the Czech and Slovak World Golf Association (CSWGA) in early December of 2010. I want to share my passion for the game of golf and ensure that our Club remains dynamic and forward looking. Michael Baloun, our immediate past President, will be a hard act to follow. He has done an excellent job of promoting the Club and bringing it to a higher level. Thank you Michael for all the hard work that you have done for the Club. CSWGA was founded in 1982 in Toronto, Canada by a group of golf enthusiasts originated from Czechoslovakia. In its current form, the CSWGA has over 30 active members from different parts of the world and in order to make everybody welcome, the formal language is English. The Club organizes six official tournaments each year, including the CSWGA Open in early fall, the most prestigious tournament of the playing season. Prizes are awarded to the winners of various categories, including trophies awarded to the winners of the Open in the Ladies and Gents categories. We are always welcoming new members from Czech and Slovak communities and other nationalities. Should you have any questions regarding the membership feel free to contact me at info@cswga.org Golfu zdar! Robert Lasak President |
