| September 22th, 2006: CMSA Fall Semester BBQ Come out to a Friday afternoon BBQ and meet up with the CMSA officers and the rest of the CM students. Burgers, hot dogs, and soda will all be provided so come out to the Glenbrook Park at 4:30 and join in. Glenbrook Park's address is 8500 La Riviera Dr, Sacramento, CA.
September 29th, 2006: An Evening with Industry Come join CMSA and our Advisory Board for an educational evening
at the Tiechert QA/QC lab. The event will run from 6-8 pm and will
include dinner and drinks. This is a great opportunity for you to meet
some of the individuals that sponsor and support our program, while
simultaneously enhancing your understanding of some of the procedures
used in the construction industry. Meet some of your fellow students
and network with industry representatives who are looking to hire.
September 30th, 2006: Rebuilding Together Rebuilding Together is a non-profit organization that gathers
volunteers to help elderly or disabled individuals with home
renovations and basic home repairs in order to ensure they have a warm
and safe place to live. As CMSA members (with our large amount of
construction experience) are well suited to contribute, we make a point
of helping out at least once a year. For more info, visit their
website at: http://www.rebuildingtogether.org/ The meeting location is at 3812 Centinella Drive North Highlands, CA
and we're being asked to sign and bring a release waiver with us to the
event. Additionally, Rebuilding Together has sent us a welcome letter
explaining things like what to bring, what to wear, and where to park. October 5th, 2006: Bay Bridge Presentation Kiewit representative Kent Boden will be coming to CSUS to give a presentation on the new Bay Bridge project. Free pizza and sodas will be provided. October 14th, 2006: Bay Bridge Skyway Boat Tour Thanks to all the people who signed up for our Bay Bridge Skyway tour this Saturday. The tour leaves from Sausolito at 12 noon, and lunch will be provided on the way out. A more specific meeting time will be added later this week. See you there!
October 20th, 2006: Sutter Club Industry Reception This Friday, the Sacramento Constrcution Management Education Foundation (SCMEF) is once again inviting us to the beautiful Sutter Club for an evening with industry luminaries. It will take place from 5:30 - 7:30pm at The Sutter Club and invitations should have already been given to all CM students. Remember to RSVP with Todd Koropp by October 13th and to adhere to the dress code (business casual, no jeans).
