Monday September 7 through Sunday September 13, 2009 This week practice will be back in full swing from 4 p.m. until dark-ish. Please come to the new field prepared to do a little field work and start actually working on events as field completion permits. There will be an opportunity to deliver firewood towards the middle or end of the week, please advise on your availability and interest. Old team members and alumni, please submit pictures and profiles so we can update the site with your information. New and old members, please don't hesitate to carpool to practice, especially underclassmen who may not have cars. Super Duty is a lot friendlier than he seems. Please stay tuned for weekend updates and choker course building! Don't forget to go to class. Splitting Firewood! Friday, Saturday, Sunday, all day-ish We had good luck selling firewood on Craigslist, but we need to split more to keep up with the demand so we're renting a splitter!!! The splitter rental comes out of the team account, so we're spending money in hopes of making money, so we need to make this worthwhile and make a lot of firewood. Selling firewood helps pay for traveling, so it's super important that we do it so trips don't cost too much! Practice: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 4-6 So long as it's nice out, we'll be practicing outside from now until the beginning of May. When we say 4-6, we kind of mean come as early as you can (but it's ok if you can't come until later) and leave when it's dark out/you have to leave--we understand crazy schedules and want to work with yours. Work Day/Fundraiser at Vince's! 2/22/2009 Vince's
father has generously offered us a fund raising opportunity in the form
of yard work and yard work like activities so that he can sell his
house. The plan is to get an early-ish start here in Fort Collins,
carpool to Morrison, work for a few hours (the more people who can
come, the fewer hours we work!), and then come back to the Fort with
some sweet, sweet cash. This is on-par with a harvest--coming this
weekend meets the requirements for competing. The team needs to raise
funds to keep out-of-pocket costs as low as possible for the season. Without fund raising, competitions will cost more :( Dues--turn them in
Dues are important
because we need to pay for things. Please turn them in to Vince or
Killian, soon. If you want to go to Conclave we need your dues by
Friday February 20th.
Dues 2/16/2009
Dues ($75) for returners are due on Monday, February 16. This is important because it helps pay for things like traveling.
FYI-$75 doesn't cover the entire individual competitor fee at Conclave.
HARVEST!!! 2/14/09 (and Valentine's Day, don't forget)
