ABOUT US CSSA-Espoo ry (The Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Espoo ry) serves mainly Chinese degree students and scholars at Aalto University, as well as alumni. CSSA-Espoo warmly welcome other ethnic groups to join our activities. All Chinese students at Aalto University are our automatic member, and the number fluctuates from year to year, but most likely to be between 300-400. CSSA-Espoo was developed on the basis of CSSA-HUT, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association at TKK, CSSA-HUT was established under the Student Union of TKK (TKY), our traceable history dates back to the 1980s. CSSA-Espoo ry was officially registered in 2008. CSSA-Espoo ry was the first organization under AYY to integrate students from all three campuses. Communication Profile CSSA-Espoo is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization registered in the City of Espoo under AYY. We organize and support various social activities for Chinese students and scholars at Aalto University, as well as alumni. The association also cooperate with other CSSAs in addition to Finnish organizations. AYY is our only superior authority. Mission CSSA-Espoo is committed to developing programs and activities for Aalto University students, scholars and alumni. This enables the Chinese community of Aalto University to adapt better to the Finnish culture and society and expand their networks; meanwhile we serve as a platform for Finnish students and professionals to interact with the Chinese community of Aalto University.
