What is Canadian Society for Professional Organizational Developers (CSPOD)?
CSPOD is a non-profit organization that is concerned with the professional development of faculty, administrators, and support staff who work in post secondary educational institutions. Our members have expertise in the on-going healthy development of organizations as they change and grow to meet the challenges of modern post secondary education. If you work in a post secondary institution and are looking for others who are concerned with faculty, staff, leadership, and overall organizational development, CSPOD offers you an environment to learn, to share best practices, to network, and to innovate.
Since its founding in 2006, CSPOD has hosted four National Symposiums: two in Toronto, one in Montreal, and one in Halifax. Each symposium was attended by 60-70 professionals from across Canada and included keynote addresses, opportunities to share a wide variety of best practices, many networking opportunities, and a selection of diverse professional development activities for "profressional developers." Early in our history we established partnerships with the Institute for the Advancement of Teaching in Higher Education (IATHE) with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges and AQPC.
