About the Author

Cheryl McCreary is a scientist by training (with a little mentioned PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology).  She teaches college science at a technical college by day.  She's lived in the assorted locales of Oklahoma, Ohio, New York and Virginia.  She currently resides in South Carolina with her husband, a loyal dog, an adventurous cat and an African pygmy hedgehog. In her spare time she enjoys, cooking, homebrewing beer, reading and hiking.


Goals for 2010


I have completed the Rough Draft of Novel #4, a horror novel set in Charleston, SC about the creatures of old and their link to the ruins of house in the swamp.

Create and send out novel query packages for Novel #1, a hard science fiction novel about colonization of an alien ocean world.

Attempt to win Nanowrimo and complete Rough Draft of Novel #5, a science fiction novel where science has been turned into a religion dealing with the theme of redemption.

Continue writing, rewriting and revising short stories.

Attempt to write and rewrite 200,000 words, of fiction and non-fiction by the of of 2010.
