CSL courses teach a different way of learning and thinking that engages the student in work that matters. Below is an audio clip of a previous CSL student at the University of Calgary. Jane Arnett has participated in several CSL courses. Her thoughts and experiences voiced below reflect the feelings of many students involved in CSL. CSL Students' Experiences

Below are journalistic articles featuring interviews with students that have participated in a CSL course in the past as well as articles that describe the work and learning done by students during their service-learning experience. We have edited the interviews and past student material to increase its readability.  These are informative articles detailing students’ perspectives on how CSL courses differ from other “traditional” classes, their understanding of service-learning, and the challenges and benefits that they experienced.
