Understanding Faith

Old Testament

Welcome to Theology with flavor with Ms. Nicdao

Keep an open mind; but not so open that your brains fall out.

Welcome to the Understanding Faith and Old Testament website! Please come back for more updates in the future.

In Ms. Nicdao's Theology classes, we learn with these few simple guidelines:

  • RESPECT FOR YOURSELF: Respect the potential of your mind. You are not an idiot so do not act like one. You are capable-more than capable-to do the work and get an "A" in Ms. Nicdao's class. Respect yourself and know your full potential.
  • RESPECT FOR OTHERS: Have manners and do not interject or interrupt when someone is speaking. Raise your hand.
  • Thou Shall Not JUDGE: When someone speaks their mind, do not be quick to judge and dismiss their opinion. Let it challenge yours and critically think about ideas. No one will judge what you say and you shouldn't judge anyone either.
  • ASK QUESTIONS: Do not be a passive student who takes up space. QUESTION. CHALLENGE. THINK. ASK : WHY?
  • Only GOD can convert. Ms. Nicdao is not here to convert you. In other words, she is here to give you the hamburger but it is up to you whether you eat it, eat a piece and save some for later or just throw it away.
  • DO YOUR WORK: You will not be graded on beliefs. You will be graded on 3 things: Homework, Participation, and Tests.
  • PRAYER is NOT ENOUGH. DO THE WORK!

If you follow these guidelines, you will have an awesome time in this class. If you ignore it, then it will most likely be boring and ineffective. So what do you have to lose?
