Aims

What we aim to do

For anyone requesting support, you, your family or your carers:

  • Trained volunteers can help by listening to you on the telephone or in person when possible
  • Provide all sorts of practical help, for example - shopping, taking you to appointments etc 
  • Guide you to other sources of advice and help, if these are appropriate
  • Provide you with access to accredited written information in English about cancer and its treatment 
  • Our translators can assist you to communicate more effectively with your medical team or with other French organisations that can assist you
  • Help you ask the questions that you need answers to
  • Provide a monthly drop in day where anyone can come to talk, relax and enjoy fun  activities

For our members:
  • Provide full ongoing training and support for Active Listeners and members in the public eye
  • Hold regular meetings and social events

For the general public:
  • Hold regular fund raising events to support our ongoing costs
  • Promote CSFL to maintain general awareness
  • Recruit new members
