What we aim to do
For anyone requesting support, you, your family or your carers: - Trained volunteers can help by listening to you on the
telephone or in person when possible
- Provide all sorts of practical help, for example - shopping, taking you to appointments etc
- Guide you to other sources of
advice and help, if these are appropriate
- Provide you with access to accredited written information in English about cancer and its treatment
- Our translators can assist you to communicate
more effectively with your medical team or with other French organisations that can assist you
- Help you ask the questions
that you need answers to
- Provide a monthly drop in day where anyone can come to talk, relax and enjoy fun activities
For our members:
- Provide full ongoing training and support for Active Listeners and members in the public eye
- Hold regular meetings and social events
For the general public:
- Hold regular fund raising events to support our ongoing costs
- Promote CSFL to maintain general awareness
- Recruit new members
