Home - About Me - Project Page - Introduction - Episode 1: Ancient Mapping - Episode 2: World Coverage - Episode 3: Cartography - Conclusion ![]() An impressive drawing of a city during the Babylonian civilization. Babylonian image of a city taken from below link. http://karenswhimsy.com/ancient-babylon.shtm Take a look at the drawing above. I find this absolutely amazing of a civilization for this time period, approximately 2300 B.C. to 400 B.C., that could build such an impressive city with what appears as near modern culture. You've heard of the phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words." By looking at the busy drawing you could almost extrapolate what kind of civilization the Babylonians were like. You can see advancement in science through architecture and construction, shipcraft and hydrocraft engineering, trade and commerce, agriculture, order and urbanization, and art design and communal beautification. I am sure you could come up with many more ideas about the Babylonians.
