Victorian Painted Lady in Historic Elberta, MichiganStep back in time to Victorian Splendor
The La Rue House was built by Lumber Baron Lawrence Crane, ca. 1890.
Dr. Frank and Nurse Ellen La Rue opened Benzie County's first hospital here.
We are located in the charming, historic village of Elberta on Betsie Bay. 809 Frankfort Avenue Elberta, MI 49628

All of our bedrooms include private baths, ceiling fans, cable TV, clock-radios and hairdryers.
Elberta is approximately 6 hours from Toledo and Chicago, 5 hours from Detroit-Ann Arbor and 3 1/2 hours from the Mackinac Bridge.
It is on highway M2-22, which intersects with both highways U.S. 31 in Manistee, or M-115 in Frankfort.
We are only 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 hours, respectively, from
the auto ferry terminals in Ludington and Muskegon.
Nearby Frankfort-Dow Airport serves private aircraft in Benzie County.
Our Victorian "Painted Lady" is in the heart of downtown Elberta.
