 “Come together all of God’s Children. That’s how He meant it to be. Yes before we get to heaven, we must all come together. That’s the way God planned it for you and for me.” ~History~ The Crystal Coast Community Choir is a source of inspiration for those who listen to their melodious songs. Their songs offer comfort to the broken-hearted, a way out for the downtrodden, and fulfillment for the righteous. The choir was formed in April 1998, at the request of Rev. S.H. Barrow III, under the capable leadership and direction of Mr. Al Norwood. At first the choir’s membership represented three area churches. Now there are fifteen churches represented. Twenty-seven spiritually blessed souls make up its current membership. The choir is open to anyone who wants to lift up the Lord. The first program was presented in Hyde county, NC in May 1998. Engagements have included programs at: · The historic Mother Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Harlem, NY · St. Antioch Baptist Church in Washington DC · Greater Bethel in Newark, NJ · New Salem Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA · Daytona, Florida · Charleston, SC, · Durham, NC and Burlington, NC.
