Ways to help out

Donations to Crush Chemo! will purchase scarves for the 2009 Scarf Drive and contributors will be listed on the website, unless otherwise specified.

If you'd prefer to make monetary donations in Camille's honor through the American Cancer Society, this would be greatly appreciated as well.  Send Katherine an email saying that you donated and we will add it to the site.

Sending an email about this website to people who might be interested in helping is a huge help to us!  Also you can attach the letter from the Ponytail Drive page to those who might be interested in donating hair.  Thank you for your interest in Crush Chemo!

Also, we're now on Facebook!  Add our group, Crush Chemo!

Here's more information about Fred's Team:

‘Fred’ is Fred Lebow, running legend and creator of the New York City Marathon, who happened to be a former patient at Sloan-Kettering. While undergoing treatment, Fred jogged up and down the halls of the hospital and during his time there he became determined that runners could help find a cure. In 1992 he completed the New York City Marathon while encouraging other runners to sponsor their runs and raise money for research. To date, Fred's Team has raised over $35 million.

Do you tweet?  Follow @drewfromtv (Drew Carey) and help raise $ 1 million for Livestrong!  If Drew Carey gets 1 million followers by December 1st, he'll donate $ 1 million for charity!

Our volunteers

Katherine Shell is a second year law student at the University of Georgia, and is Camille's good friend and sorority sister from Washington and Lee.  Her mother, Kathy, was a big fan of fun, beautiful scarves and hats while undergoing chemo treatments, inspiring Katherine to create this drive for Camille. Please feel free to send her any ideas, comments, or questions.

Blake Shell is an artist and educator in Portland, OR.  She is helping with the design of the website and brainstorming ideas with Katherine for continuing an annual scarf drive in honor of their mother, Kathy, whose fault it is that Blake's fashion sense outweighs her artist's income from time to time.  Check out her site and let her know if you see any changes for this site.
