We have yet to find anyone that can directly make Camille a wig from our hair, so Katherine found the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program to donate hair in Camille's honor. Pantene Beautiful Lengths is a program specifically designed to create wigs that are later donated to the American Cancer Society, and makes no requirements about the age of the person who receives the wig. This program seemed especially fit for Camille, as it focuses on women undergoing chemo. Donating Ponytails Attached at the end of the page here, you can access a letter with information that can be passed along to anyone considering hair donations. Also attached is a letter to send with your hair, dedicating it in honor of Camille. In order to be eligible for donations, your hair must be 8 inches long, and not bleached or dyed. Vegetable dyes and semi-permanent dyes are fine, so ask your hairperson before he or she cuts your hair. Hair cannot be more then five percent gray. Once you have cut your ponytail, print off the label honoring Camille, and take a picture with your donation! Or, feel free to do before and after pics! I'll begin posting pictures as soon as I receive them. When you send in your hair, put it with an elastic band around it in a plastic zip-lock bag, and send it to the following address. Please include your name and address so that Pantene Beautiful Lengths can send you a thank you note. You can access information about the program at Pantene Beautiful Length’s website, www.beautifullengths.com. Thanks for your help!
