 Camille Allen is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, the second daughter of Cheryl and David Allen, and little sister to Courtney Allen. Camille graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2007. During her time in Lexington, I'm convinced Camille ran the school. In addition to being in charge of Kappa, Camille participated in so many events, organizations, philanthropy efforts, recruitment, and interview programs that I would be insane to try to list them all. I'm not entirely sure how we, or the school, actually get along in life without her efforts. Through the entire time I've known her, Camille has continuously been a example of leadership, maturity and stability. In February 2009, Camille found out she had squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. Camille has finished her chemotherapy treatments and began radiation on July 6, 2009 to ensure that all of her cancer is gone. She is in treatment in Houston at M.D. Anderson. Events in Camille's honor On May 1, 2009, the Kappas of W&L held their first annual Relay for Life. W&L raised over 14,000 dollars, with Kappa leading the fundraising with over 2500 dollars. On May 9, 2009, Jane Lancaster Mikell, John Mikell, and Katherine Shell participated in a Head and Neck Cancer Race in Augusta, Georgia, and raised over 150 dollars for the Augusta Chapter of Support People with Head and Neck Cancer.
