Looking for information for your Science Fair Project? Try looking at the links below:

Choose the icon that says "Science Fair Help" and Bob explains how demonstrations/projects are different than experiments and list links to sites that lists experiment ideas - because remember, you are doing an experiement not a demonstration!

This site is part of DiscoverySchool.com Science Fair Central. This page is a basic run-down on the scientific method with some do's and don't's for science fair projects. It goes into a little detail on each section of the Scientific Method.

The site above is from KidSpace at the Internet Public Library. The page listed above is a list of project questions on subjects like Animals, Earth Science, Consumer Science, Physical Science, and Plants. This is a good basic starting place to get you thinking of a project!

This site is called Science Buddies. If you can't think of a project this site helps you find one by having you use it's Topic Selection Wizard - You fill in your zip code, grade level and if you are a girl or boy (it also askes for ethnicity, but this button is optional, which means you don't have to do it if you don't want to). On the next page you can choose what level of help you need in choosing your project. I tried it and there were some interesting projects listed. This site also lists projects by areas of science if you don't want to do the survey.

This is our Digital Commons site where there are several online encyclopedias.  If you have not visited this site before choose Bremerton High School and the mascot is Knights.

Looking on the Internet for projects is fun, but it also takes a lot of time. Just finding these links for you took me several hours. So, don't forget to look at books too. We have lots of Science Fair Books in our library. Listed below are some of the books we have in the 500 section (Science!)

The Everything Kids' Science Experiments Book

Science Sensations

Simple Science Experiments With Everyday Materials

175 Science Experiments to Amuse and Amaze Your Friends

Giant Book of Winning Science Fair Projects

There are LOTS of science books in the 500 section of our library! Just ask and we will be happy to help you find a book on a subject you are interested in!
