UPDATE: October 18,2011

Surgery started at 4:45 pm and was approx. 5 hrs. They removed a vein from his right leg to use in bypass for his compromised artery. He is resting now at Liberty Hospital and will remain there for a few days while healing. Please continue to pray for Charlie and his rapid return to wellness.

Doppler Scan showed major blockage in Arteries in right leg (2) @ St, Mary's Went 10-14 to Liberty Hosp. For check with Vascular Surgeon ~ He sent me for Kidney blood test and Kidneys were not functioning properly so they were not able to inject die for CAT scan. The Dr. insisted that I be admitted and treated by Kidney Specialist immediately because only 24% Blood flow to leg. I begged and promised to check myself in the ER if they would let me attend my Granddaughter's first youth Rodeo. Drove (speeded) to Lone Wolf Arena in Cleveland,MO. Got there just in time for their fabulous runs ! I started MO-Kan Youth Rodeo Assoc. In 1991 and it has lasted 20 years and still going strong (so I had to be there to watch the third generation of Giles family Rodeo (360 deg). Dr. Said that if they can't get Kidney's to function better by Monday He couldn't operate and I possibly (would lose my right leg). Pray for this old Rodeo Cowboy. I would be appreciative because their will be no"Re Ride" for me if things don't get better!

Dear Lord, please keep Charlie close to Your Heart and calm his fears and keep him safe. Please soothe his heart and mind with your tender touch. And allow his strength of mind and iron will to overcome this threat to his health so that he can once again sing your praises with a sweet voice of humble thankfulness. Please take his burden and carry it for him and give him peace. Lord blanket his family in Your Love and Grace and give them courage and peace as they walk with Charlie down this path of healing. Guide his surgeon's hands to skillfully repair his body and bring him complete relief and function.

Please pray for Don Burkett who lives in Oak Grove, MO. Don suffered a Heart Attack 10/6/11. He had surgery today for blockage and will undergo further test tomorrow for possible blockage in his legs. Don is in the ICU unit at St. Mary's. Both he and his family need and would greatly appreciate your Prayer's

I pray that You Lord will see Don through this. That you will lay your healing hand upon this man. I pray for his strength and peace. I pray that Don feels the Holy spirit run through his body. I pray for wisdom Lord, from the doctors and nurses.That will know what to do. I pray for this family that you will strengthen their hearts and to lean on you during this time.
