The Crossroads Group of the Sierra Club serves greater Livingston County in Michigan. The Sierra Club is the largest and oldest environmental organization in the world.  The purpose of the Sierra Club is to get people to learn about the environment, so that they will get out and enjoy it, and then they will want to protect our environment, for our families and our future.

Crossroads Group School Grant

This is the fourth year the Crossroads Group will be giving a $1,000 grant to a local Livingston County school project focused on an environmental-, conservation- or wildlife-related subject.  We plan on having application information to the schools in the fall to plan for an early 2009 award for the best project.  With this grant, we hope to foster knowledge, concern, and a lifelong commitment to our natural heritage.  Part of the requirements for projects will be a presentation to the general membership of our group to allow all to participate and see our funds at work in educating the next generation of environmentally aware citizens.
