The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scouting America tries to prepare every participating youth to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Outdoor Code, the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.
Troop 87 serves the boys ages 11 to 17 in the greater Cross Plains area.
The Scouts average one outing a month with an emphasis on outdoor activities.
The Troop meets at 7:00PM at the American Legion Hall in Cross Plains on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
Parents and youth interested in learning more about Scouts BSA and Scouting America are invited to attend a meeting. Please call ahead to confirm we haven't moved the meeting location on the night you're planning to visit.

All adults subject to a criminal background check as part of the application proccess. Subsquent background checks will be conducted randomely not less often than every two years.
