Mission

The mission of the Cross-Harelson School Library is to provide a collection of materials to implement, enrich, and support the curriculum of Cross and Harelson and to meet the individual educational/informational; 21^st Century; cultural/emotional; and recreational needs of students, staff, and faculty.

Resources for staff and students

• Databases:  Sirs Discoverer allows students and teachers online access to several research database, over 500 magazines and journals, 200 newspapers, and a variety of pamphlets and reference books.

• Collection: 33,000+ items, including books, videos, CDs, cassette tapes, filmstrips, computer/laser disks, and DVDs.

• Bibliographies and Booklists:  Available by subject and content area
•  Computers: 25 Networked computers with access to the computerized card catalog and the Internet.  
• Smart Board: Teachers may sign up to use the Smart Board for interactive lessons
• The library is available to students before and after school.  Students may visit at lunch with a pass from their teacher. 
• Tours: Orientation and introduction to library facility available to staff, students, and public.
