Freshmen

Freshmen

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your fathers and mother - which is the first commandment with a promise - that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

Ephesians 6:1-3

Requirements

Freshmen year of service focuses on service for/with your family and/or your neighborhood.  As young people we sometimes forget how important it is to be an active member of our families. Service for our family goes beyond the usual cleaning of one’s bedroom or daily chores that are assigned but to serve our parents, siblings, grandparents, and relatives in ways that help us build close ties and relationships. To gain a new respect of all the things our families do or sacrifice for you.  Service for our neighbors can be a great way to get out in the community and build relationships with those we live near.

Freshmen are to complete 15 hours of service by Monday, March 14, 2011.  Incoming freshmen may begin their service hours as early as Wednesday, June 8, 2011.  To receive full credit, you must fill out a CRISTO – Christian Service Program hardcopy and online form, and turn it into Ms. Garcia in the Campus Ministry office.
