The cricket fever is catching up. The wings of popularity of this game are spreading across Western countries too. After all, sports is all about enjoying while playing it and of course the spectators need entertainment out of it. Cricket is rich in either ways. The advent of Twenty20 format of the game is bound to take the game to newer horizons including Olympics.

Cricket has been playing a pivotal role in the sub-continent in minimising political tension and has been used as a diplomatic tool. The recent invitation to Pakistani President and Prime Minister by Dr.Manmohan Singh to witness the cricket match between India and Pakistan at Mohali on 30th March, 2011 is an example. Cricket players have been acting as ambassadors for World peace. It has certainly more relevance when cricket matches are played between India and Pakistan.

Cricket is followed by millions of people in countries like India, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh just like a religion. The recnt euphoria it created when World Cup Cricket was jointly hosted by India, Bangladesh and Srilanka and the way people celebrated the Indian win is unparalleld.

Being placed at Ranchi, I was previledged to see people pouring in from all directions towards the home of Mahindra Singh Dhoni, the Indian captain, to have wild celebrations. Mahindra Singh Dhoni is nothing less than GOD with the crowd.

As an ardent fan of the game, I have been trying to contribute my might to this great game.

Believe me; all pages are driven by sheer passion. Hope my visitors enjoy my pages.
