More than just an activity rowing is strength and endurance combined. Here you will face new challenges. Rowing is graceful and often grueling. If weather be cold, wet, hot, or dry we come to row everyday. This is our way.
Attitude Winning is good. Racing is better. Love to row is best.

Contact Head Coach Troy Smith
Coach Smith (bio) After many years as a successful distance runner and track coach I discovered rowing studying at the University of Nebraska in 1995. I continued to row one year into graduate courses at UNL. In 1999 I took over as the Head Coach of UNL’s Crew. While attending a coaching conference in Seattle, WA I met coaches from St. Anthony’s High School Crew in New York. In 2001 they offered a position as their men’s varsity coach and I moved to Huntington, NY. I soon was offered a position with Sagamore Rowing to establish their junior program. Since 2002 I have been the rowing coach for the CCOB and many programs and individuals. I continue to scull and race when the opportunity is available. The “Crew Club of Oyster Bay” is the Junior Program (High School) of Sagamore Rowing Association. “Building Long Island’s Rowing Tradition.” We have taught thousands of rowers and welcome you to join us. |
