All,
Tonight's meeting is canceled, because Fairfax county schools are closed today.
As of this time the March 6-7 backpacker is still on. This will be dependent on whether Skyline Drive is open at the time of the trip though. If the trip is canceled due to Skyline Drive's closure we will reschedule this trip.
I need to know who is coming on the backpacker and whether what our travel plans are. Charlotte can you please work with Alex and Loren to get all this info? I need to know by Friday!
Also, Alex instead of having the backpacking demo tonight will you be able to do it on March 1st?
And finally, I'll have the fliers for recruitment night up soon. I promise.

Since there's supposed to be a huge snow storm on the way, and Fairfax county has already closed all its schools for Friday and the remainder of the weekend, I am canceling our trip on Saturday.

The Hike-O-Ree will be held November 6-8, with the Hike on Saturday.
Camping is backpacking style, so everyone should pack light.
We have booked our second choice hike - Thorofare Mountain.
I need to know who is coming on this trip, please let me know ASAP. |

The bike trip will be held on October 12th. If you need some maintenance done on your bike, be there at 10 am. If not, show up at 10:30am. Pick up will be at the same location, at 3pm.
The trip will be a 7.5 mile ride down to Mt Vernon where we will eat a picnic lunch (bring your own) and possibly explore Mt Vernon. We will then bike back to Belle Haven, and possibly beyond to Old Town.

As a result of summer vacation our last regularly scheduled meeting will be June 1st.
We will begin regularly scheduled meetings again on September 21st.

Currently planned trips for the fall include:
October 2nd to 4th - NJ State Jamboree. We will be staffing the climbing and COPE activities for half a day (Saturday) and visiting NYC Sunday.
November 6th to 7th - V3 Hike-O-Ree.

The Kayaking trip has been rescheduled for June 6th and 7th (rain date of June 13th and 14th).
Drop off will be at the Pohick Bay camp sites at 1100am Saturday, with pickup at 1000am Sunday.
I need a new headcount of who will be attending, so please let Jason know if you are attending by Friday May 22nd.
