The Crescent Sesquicentenary Soccer Tour, consisting of a group of 28 (18 students and 10 adults) will depart from Shannon on Thursday 2nd April. Our destination is Tacoma, a city 30 miles south of Seattle in Washington State, where we will meet up with Limerick-man Joe Waters who is head soccer coach at the Bellarmine Prep School in Tacoma. Our players will be hosted by families of students at Bellarmine and we will play four games during our stay in Tacoma as well as visiting the state capital, Olympia and Seattle itself. Joe has a great itinerary lined up for us including a tour of their school, a guided tour of Seattle, a BBQ back at his house and on the Saturday night of our stay the adults are invited to their main annual school fundraiser - an auction night. We will also have a farewell banquet on the evening before we leave where we will all get together with the hosting families and staff members from Bellarmine. We depart from Seattle Airport on Wednesday the 8th April and head for New York where we will spend 4 days/3 nights with another Limerick-man, Daniel McEnery who is a soccer coach at St Thomas Aquinas College in New York. We will play two games in New York and our host has arranged guided tours of Manhattan by day and by night and we will obviously have ample time for shopping. Keep watching this page for updated information while we are on tour.
