Slí Eile is the Jesuit organisation that provides a wide range of faith and justice activities for young adults aged 18-35.
With offices in Gardiner Street and Ballymun in Dublin, SE seeks to empower young adults with Gospel values to realise their potential as leaders. It offers them a model of leadership and the tools to critique, in a positive manner, themselves, society and the Church. In this way they can help to build a better world.
Slí Eile offers a broad range of activities – from volunteering in Zambia, Colombia, Jamaica and South Africa to helping children at risk in Dublin’s north inner city; from Gospel Choir Masses to weekends exploring the connection between faith and life; from climbing Croagh Patrick to days of reflection in the Jesuit Spirituality Centre; from walking through the Wicklow Mountains to walking along the 'camino' to Santiago de Compostela; and from theological and human development workshops to Certificates in Social Spirituality and Christian Leadership.
Since 2007 Sli Eile has been a vital element in The Arrupe project.Taking on all travel, accommodation and group logistics. Without their experience and endeavour the difficulties in running the project would be bewildering. A heartfelt thank you is extended to all and especially Fr. Gerry Clarke S.J, who provided support as, "the key man on the ground" over a total of ten weeks last summer.
