Hi, let me introduce myself. My names is Christy Rees. I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade again this year.  Before coming to Mountain Shadows I taught 1st grade for 6 years. I am also glad to be working with Ms. Herzog again this year. 

I graduated from Utah State University with degrees in elementary and early childhood education. My teaching focus is Language Arts. I love to read  books, quilt, and be creative. My favorite book is Olivia by Ian Falconer. I have been married for 5 years and have a dog named Foxy. 

Throughout the year I will communicate with you through newsletters, important notes, telephone calls, and parent teacher conferences.  I  will also update this  website weekly with announcements, assignments,  spelling words, etc.
