Shocking Revelation: - An Insidious Prejudice Blocks Creative Thinking
The shock of becoming aware that the wellspring of creativity is the UNCONSCIOUS mind, and that there is an insidious prejudice at work that conditions us to FEAR the unconscious.

This is insidious because of a left-brain bias that has suppressed right-mode thinking for centuries, creating a crisis that humanity may not survive. The crisis in global warming is that we are unable to determine where the point of no return is, or to put it another way - the point at which a frog can still survive a partial boiling.

We believe that humanity must embrace the unconscious as an equal partner in the creative process so that we can start discovering the green solutions we so desperately need. We can help by creating awareness and by training people in a new language of thought.

We believe that the term unconscious should include dual-mind research that claims the right-brain hemisphere is an autonomous but mute personality. It is important to realize that this OTHER personality expresses itself through art, imagery, symbols, metaphors, synthesis, holistic thinking and emotions etc.  One must learn to communicate with this other half by using an innate language of symbols to decode the symbolism.

We need to expose the  role that Christianity plays in repressing human potential in what can only be regarded as THE greatest crime against humanity.

The method used to suppress paganism and rebellion was simple: just crack down on R1 thinkers [those who have a preference for thinking with the right upper cortex] who question everything, who challenge the system, who are intuitive and have inquiring minds.  Kill the creative thinkers, burn the witches, and if you kill enough of them over the centuries ... you will arrive at where we are today, largely unaware of how we continue to support this negative conditioning.

"The problem of creativity is beset with mysticism, confused definitions, value judgments, psychoanalytic admonitions, and the crushing weight of philosophical speculation dating from ancient times." Albert Rothenberg

Graves, The White Goddess: 'The most important single fact in the early history of Western religion and sociology was undoubtedly the gradual suppression of the Lunar Mother-goddess's inspiratory cult, and its supersession ... by the busy, rational cult of the Solar God Apollo'

Another interesting fact is that of a Dominant Minority: these belong to personalities that represent 5% of the population, namely the creative thinkers who challenge the systems, those who question things. Apparently, this statistic was proved to exist during the Korean war, when the Chinese realized that they only needed to control this minority amongst the prisoners of war, and that the rest could be left largely unsupervised. We think this fits nicely with Maslow's self-actualisers and needs to be explored further.

William Blake - His standard of reality was the genius - the one who could exercise his creativity to the greatest degree. The worship of God is : "Honouring his gifts in other men, each according to his genius, and loving the greatest men best: those who envy or calumniate (slander) great men hate God; for their is no other God."  The genius's perception will be the most perfect since perfection means the fullest development of capacities. ...
Surely our century has seen the emergence of a "normal" as the standard of life, a norm which has become the lowest common denominator of "objectivity"  - seeing without imagination, pretending to be a mechanical camera reporting that which is inflicted on us by what we see. We have set up our lack of creative vision as our model and denied the vision of the poet, saint, or genius in general.
Creativity is a function that grows out of physical development. A developed intelligence is a developed creativity, one that can interact with a manifest order or un-manifest possibility and "lift chaos into order."  A passive perception can't assume responsibility for what is seen and so never sees anything  outside the ... norm. "Satan never sees," Blake observed, "he always has to be shown."
