Sidra
combines a strong background in classical technique and performance with a Zen approach to the art of singing. This combination gives students both the vocal technique and the personal confidence and ease to sing their best. Her background and experience allow her to teach many styles, including musical theater, jazz, Latin, rock and pop. The first half of each 60-minute lesson focuses on technique, while the second half is geared toward repertoire development. All lessons are staffed by Sidra and pianist Wayne Wilentz or another professional accompanist, and together they develop each student’s individual style, musicianship and performance skills. Testimonials from students: In the last year you have taught me so much and truly invested in me your time, your energy, your friendship and encouragement, and also your confidence in my potential as a performer. Thank you so much for helping me to finally become a singer. I can’t wait to start another year under your guidance and grow even more.
--Marin Sidra is one of those great teachers whose spirit is larger than her physical being. Her lessons are super charged with creativity while she radiates a nurturing, patient understanding of the student mind. I recommended Sidra to one of my best friends and I would recommend her to anyone who cares about achieving positive results with voice!
