We offer 4 different courses and several different Project Classes as well as a Project Class of the Month. A little about each class: Ages 12 to Adult on all course classes. Course 1: Learn to bake, level, fill and ice your cakes just like the pro's. This course teaches the basics of cake decorating. In just 4 classes, 2 hours a day one day each week you will learn to create beautiful borders, the famed Wilton Rose, how to transfer a design to a cake and how to decorate cupcakes. Most of all you will learn how to make and work with buttercream icing. Course 2: Introduces two new types of icing-Color Flow and Royal. These icings become very hard when dry and are used in making flowers on a flower nail. They are also used in creating decorations you would like to stand up. You will learn to make flowers like pansies, daisies, daffodils and more. you will also learn new techniques like the Basket Weave and Rope border. Course 3: Continues with the use of royal icing and the introduction of several new flowers using Lily nails. Some of the favorite flowers are Easter Lilies and Poinsettias. This course also introduces you to Fondant a rolled icing that gives a cake that smooth finished look. By the end of this course you will have learned to cover a cake with fondant and make a lovely bow and a delicate Rose as well as complete a tiered cake. Fondant and Gumpaste: Starts off with covering a Cake board with fondant, preparing and working with Gumpaste and how to make a Calla Lily. This class also introduces you to some cool new cake decorating tools and techniques. learn to make some flowers, leaves, borders and a party favor/cake top decoration.
