 Art Goulet, our Legislative Committee Chair makes every effort to keep CRCEA members up-to-date on pending legislation, bills that have passed, and ones that didn't make it. Seems that right now anything to do with public pensions is a hot topic and lots of bills are being introduced. Several are redundant and others are being modified as they move through the legislative process. Art reviewed all these bills at the recent Santa Rosa CRCEA Fall Conference.
Last year's SB 414 which did not go through has now been reintroduced at SB203. This newly numbered billl has passed both the Senate and House just in April. The Governor signed it on July 26th. For all details take a look at the State website for legislation at www.leginfo.com .
