I was recently reading the State Association of California Retirement Systems Summer issue. It had several excellent articles in it about upcoming legislation, attacks on pension systems, and several more. You too can read these articles by going to the SACRS website at www.sacrs.org . Some of the information included is not hot off the press, but it is well presented and easy to understand. Give it a look!

 

One article on  this page is about our own Dorothy Lueking, former Secretary to CRCEA and now our Executive Secretary. She made the San Bernardino Times on April 16th. Click on the last article under Attachments.

 

Two new articles added in March are listed below for your reading (under attachments).  One is the so called "Little Hoover Report" (ihcreport0001) and the second one is a rebuttal by Cal STR entitled (TRSetc.).  The Little Hoover report is quite long, but worth reading if you are sincerely interested in retirement programs and the changing times. The rebuttal, TRS20% is fairly short and to the point; defiinitely a worthwhile read.

 

Another article of interest listed below is "Guest Editorial".  It is an article received from NCPERS and is written by Martin J. Bennett. It also appears on the web pate of California Progress Report.  Mr. Bennett has some interesting things to say in this guest editorial entitled, "Don't Blame California Public Employees!"
