In this beginning class, students will be introduced to the practice of push hands (Tui Shou) where, for the first time, they will begin to practice with a partner.
Students will learn the five internal energies:
Touch (Chan)
Continue (Lien)
Stick (Nien)
Follow (Shi)
No Separation - No Resistance (Pu tiu - Pu ting)
as well as the Five Steps and Eight Techniques aka The Thirteen Postures.
Dedicated practice of push hands leads to greatly enhanced sensitivity and awareness and is the beginning phase of T'ai Chi Ch'uan martial applications.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of at least one (1) semester of Four Directions Form and one (1) semester of Short Form.

Class Rates
Unless otherwise indicated, all classes may be taken either privately, individually or by 10 week semester. (Best deal)
All classes are 1 hour.

Short Form
This form is the logical continuation from the introductory four directions form. It is alos the introduction to the Chen Pan Ling 99 movement long form. The movements of the short form have been modified to reflect the CPL style. The original sequence, however, is the same.
This form is usually taught over a twenty week period. Ten weeks to learn the set and ten week refining it.
These time frames are given as estimates as all students learn at different speeds.
Many people choose to study the short form for two or three years before advancing to the long form.
Prerequisites: Sucessful completion of at least one (1) semester of Four Directions Form.
