Isn't it strange how people usually ask what you do for a living as a way of
defining who you are? The answer to this question very rarely gives any clues
as to the personality, likes, dislikes, interests, achievements and aspirations
of a person. I have done various jobs and never found workmates to be like
clones of one another.
A far better question would be " What do you like to do? " at least then
the answer would come from the individual and not from a job description.
In the western world we live in a society where Individuality is seen as
very important, but in order to be individual people usually find themselves
becoming part of some sort of smaller group thus instantly destroying there own
individuality. Anyone who totally rejects any kind of group ideology or style
and pursues there own goals, interests and style without any care for how
others may perceive them instantly get labelled as nuts or strange.
I believe that only by embracing the things that make people different from
one another can the human race continue to progress and reach a time when wars,
mistrust and poverty are a thing of the past...
