1. People always assume I'm 10 years younger than I actually am. Blessing or curse, you decide. 2. I love ice cream, but not vanilla...it's gotta have "stuff" in it. 3. I've lived in 6 states & 2 countries, travelled all over Europe & Africa and moved a total of 23 times so far. And I'm not done yet!! 4. I can't brush my teeth without the water continuously running. 5. I've been owned by 2 cocker spaniels, 1 chocolate lab mix, 2 golden retrievers, 1 german shepherd and 1 crazy ass mixed breed in my lifetime. 6. Some day I want to skydive, scuba-dive and swim with the dolphins. Bonus would be if I did all 3 in the same vacation! 7. I love all music...but can only clean the house to techno/dance :) 8. I cry when I hear the song "O Holy Night"...gets me every single freakin year. 9. Mermaids intrigue me....I secretly want to be one! I think it's the way their hair looks underwater and the shell bra;) 10. I love to vacuum...you can see your progress, it's just so brilliantly satisfying! 11. My parents are still married and after 42 years they still act like newlyweds. 12. I have to go to bed by 11 every nite...if it's 11:02 I start to panic. I know...weird. 13. I think Harry Potter is one of the best series written...truly imaginative! 14. I love anything that sparkles...cards, ornaments you name it. 15. I met the Pope in 1990 and celebrated the following 2 Christmas Eves at the Vatican. 16. I'm not good at remembering names...but will remember a face FOREVER. 17. I am thankful for photography - it is one thing in my life that I always know will be there to help me release my feelings :) whether good or bad. 18. I'm thinking of getting a tattoo this year...but I'm nervous about the pain. 19. I think of my dear friend Lonnie everytime the clock reads 11:11, I drink bourbon or hear Patsy Cline on the radio. I miss him dearly... 20. As I've gotten older, I care less and less about what others' perceptions of me are--although I've got to admit, there is still that little girl within who wants to be loved and accepted. 21. My favorite song is Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. 22. I love clouds and could spend hours laying in the grass looking up at the sky. 23. If I could wear flip-flops year round I would. 24. I think kissing is magical! 25. I have faith in this world of ours and I think we're all gonna be ok....... 26. Today....I turned 40. Wow! Just wow......

I really wanted to capture the essence of BLING with the Carribean Beach sensibility of Tommy Bahama. This is a huge ornament - I started with a 6" styrofoam ball and covered it in richly colored paillette sequins, kept in place by extra long, pearl-topped straight pins. The array of darling, imported and handpainted wood cut-outs really bring the beach theme to your holiday! The cut-outs are fairly secure (I used lots of hot glue) and are just so cute! There's a beach umbrella and flip-flops, a sailboat altered with a snowman face, the ubiquitous palm tree and seashell and of course, I couldn't forget the 'shades' and a teeny fish to decorate the copper, craft wire hook!

I can easily see this dominating the holiday decor of a Hilton sister or possibly TomKat, can't you?
