Educators who have completed the initial, 2.5 day COV workshop are eligible to apply to become a co-facilitator. Each COV workshop is led by a lead facilitator, who is assisted by two co-facilitators. Responsibilities of co-facilitators include assisting the lead facilitator with presenting the workshop agenda and assisting participants with individual needs during the workshop on a just-in-time basis. Educators can work for Celebrate Oklahoma Voices as co-facilitators in two different capacities: - On school district/organization release time: If your school/organization agrees to provide you with release time to co-facilitate a COV workshop, COV will pay your meals, mileage, and hotel costs associated with presenting the workshop. *
- On personal leave / vacation time: If you take personal leave or vacation time to co-facilitate a COV workshop, in addition to paying for your meals, mileage, and hotel costs associated with presenting the workshop COV will also pay you an honorarium for up to 20 hours of work per workshop. COV pays $25 per hour for co-facilitators, which is typically $500 for 20 hours of work.

You will be asked to indicate your availability to co-facilitate COV workshops throughout 2009. An updated list of scheduled COV workshops for 2009 is available. * Co-facilitator payment details are as follows. Note these are subject to change. - If the distance from home to training location is 108 miles or less, co-facilitators will be paid a flat rate of $0.55 per mile + $80 for meals.
- If the distance from home to training location is greater than 108 miles, co-facilitators will be paid $0.55 per mile plus $290 for food & lodging for duration of training. ($80 for meals, $70 per night x 3 nights for lodging.)
- COV co-facilitators are paid $25 per hour for work up to 20 hours ($500) if co-facilitating on personal leave / vacation time as described above.
- Co-facilitators must complete a pre-workshop travel form and a post-workshop travel form, which is available as a shared Google spreadsheet.
Lead facilitators are paid $30 per hour up to 20 hours per workshop ($600). More information about application and certification requirements to become a COV lead-facilitator will be posted on this site later in Spring 2009. |
